At upto20words, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors to our web site. In particular, we want you to know that upto20words is not in the
information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, and how we keep it secure.
Types of data we collect
As part of the registration process for our monthly e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
When you buy our products
When you buy one of our products, we collect basic contact details from you when you purchase any of our products, name, address, contact number and your email address.
All personal information from your orders is kept within our WordPress website and is password protected.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold.
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to process all orders. We keep a record of all our sales for a period of six years (for accounting, and record-keeping purposes).
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:
Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.
Request erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).
You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
Request the restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal data about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it. You can also withdraw your consent, where this is the basis for our processing your data (without affecting the lawfulness of our previous processing based on consent).
Request the transfer of your personal data to another party.
